Our owner Roger Bowater
Roger was born and bred in the Black Country and started his international trade career in 1965 at BSR in Old Hill. At the time BSR were the largest employer in the area and exported record changers and tape decks all over the world.
Over the following 40 years he worked for some of the largest exporters in the West Midlands, exporting to virtually every country in the world.
He became an associate member of the Institute of Export in 1978 becoming a full member in 1981, and being elevated to a Fellow in 1991.
Roger became a committee member of the West Midlands Branch of The Institute, which he served for more than 15 years. During this time he held the position of Education Officer, Vice Chairman and Chairman.
International trade has been his life. He has taught on the Institute’s Advanced Certificate in International Trade for over 15 years, at a number of colleges in the West Midlands, covering all aspects of international trade such as marketing, physical distribution,trade and payments,law.
